Submersible mixers
The submersible mixers are used, first of all, as sewage treatment plant components. They prevent deposits from settling in balance tanks; they are also used in biochemical processes at waste water treatment plants (denitrification and dephosphatation) etc. In addition, they can be used in the agriculture, industry and sewage systems.
Their task is to put liquid in motion, homogenize its composition, prevent sedimentation, put liquids in motion in required flow direction and overcome the resistance of flow in open chambers, ditches, channels. They are used in order to intensify physical and chemical processes taking place in liquid and, in particular, for solid and gas dissolution. This process is widely used at sewage water aeration where the intensive mixing shall extend the gas movement length and prevent the small bubbles from binding and converting into big ones. Sometimes, the mixer, in particular the high-speed types, are used as protection against surface scum. |
|
The submersible mixers can be operated in fluids at max. temperature of 40ºC and submersion depth to 10 m.
At the selection of the submersible mixer and, in particular, its location, please note that the balance in the tank at continuous operation occurs when the pressure force of the mixer equals the external forces impacting on the propeller stream. |
So, these external forces must be calculated. Also the tank inflow (e.g. from recirculation) must be taken into account. Not only the volume flow values but also their directions are important.
The mixers shall put in motion the surrounding fluid with a specified speed in order to ensure the proper run of the process. From the mixing technology point of view, the volume pumped through mixer’s external diameter is not important; important is the volume put in motion with the specified speed. According to theoretical studies, the axial component of the momentum transferred to the fluid by the mixer is important. It equals the axial impeller load force. Therefore, the axial force is the most important parameter of mixers and it is specified in catalogues. The axial force can be easily converted into effective fluid volume stream (i.e. output) put into motion with the specified speed v. When sewage is mixed, the required fluid speed shall be at least v = 0,3 m/s. So, the "effective output” for v = 0,3 m/s is specified. It is the volume stream which can be put in motion by the mixer with the minimum speed v = 0,3 m/s.
axial force – F [kN];
effective output v = 0,3 m/s – Q0,3 [m3/s];
motor input power (power input) – P1 [kW];
motor output power (at motor shaft) – P2 [kW].

Pumping mixers
MP and MPA pumping mixers
n the biological water treatment process, a waste water recirculation is required. The pumping (recirculation) mixers pump the waste water, in particular the activated sludge, between the nitrification and denitrification chambers in the biological processes applied at the treatment plants. They can be also used in other industrial and hydrologic plants in which big amounts of fluids and relative small elevation heads (in particular, losses in pipelines) must be pumped. In particular, they are suitable for pumping polluted media, which are difficult to pump for other pumps.
The pumping mixers can run in continuous or periodical mode, depending on the applied process. They are installed at sewage treatment plants at pipeline inlets or tank division plates. In this case, they can be equipped with non-return flap valves. Thanks to the mixer speed control using a frequency converter, its output can be adjusted depending on the real circumstances.
Operation properties of mixers are characterized by the following parameters:
Output Q [m3/s]
Usable lift height Hu [m]
The pumping mixers can be operated in fluids at max. temperature of 40C and submersion depth to 10 m. |

Reducer for general applications
The series of types includes a variety of helical reducers (W symbol) and bevel helical reducers (KA, KB symbols). Each size of helical reducers was developed in two-, three- and four-stage design (apart from size 100), and bevel helical reducers in three-, four- and five-stage design (apart from size 100). Designs of helical reducers include the 6.3-400 range of ratios and bevel-helical reducers: 18-1250.These reducers are intended to drive mechanical devices with horizontal axis of the work piece used in many industries including metal, chemical, paper industry as well as in metallurgy, mining and others.The designs offered in version with solid or hollow low-speed shaft may work in horizontal or verticalposition. Hollow shaft can be made with a cylindrical bore and keyway or without keyway to be built-in with a clamping ring.
With the reducers there can cooperate electric engines on support arms or with flange, attached to body of the reducer by means of coupling input. In all designs of reducers there is possibility to mount one-way clutches and reducer cooling elements.In order to adapt our offer to increasingly complex needs of clients, it is possible to make special reducer versions for specific applications based on the series of basic types. |

Vertical mixers
The vertical mixers are process units for mixing plants in the chemical, food industry, drinking or process water treatment plants. There are also applications for sewage treatment plants. The mixers homogenize the content of mixtures and solutions, prevent sedimentation, in solid body solution in fluids or gases as well as intensify the heat exchange. Depending on the needs, various impeller types can be used for the defined processes. The impellers can be made of various materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless acid resistant steel) in accordance with the requirements of the customers. In addition, the impellers can be equipped with coatings protecting them against chemicals or abrasion.
